Inland Rail

We are pleased to announce Inland Rail has become a major sponsor for this year’s Convention.

Inland Rail is a 1,600km freight rail line, now under construction. It will connect Melbourne and Brisbane via regional Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland. Learn more about the project.

Works at Wangaratta are currently underway!

Plans include:

• Removing the two Wangaratta Station footbridges and replacing them with a single pedestrian underpass

• Relocating the existing track and platform on the eastern side of Wangaratta Station, so it sits parallel to the current track on the western side of the station

• Lowering the tracks and replacing the Green Street bridge in the same location on the same alignment.

Inland Rail will join us for the weekend giving you the opportunity to have a chat with the team and answer any of your questions.

They will be showing their own N Scale layout made by our committee member Mark Jesser.
