Family history is to blame for Steve’s interest in the railways. His grandfather a engine driver, and great grandfather a station master in rural SA. His father had model railways, both N scale and HO over the years - quite an achievement as he was going blind. When he died, it seemed right and proper to continue the family tradition. Early retirement gave the opportunity to commence building an N scale layout. The Victorian N Scale Collective has provided the advice, friendship and skills needed to enable Steve’s work. Having attended a couple of conventions, Steve is keen to promote the hobby and see it grow.

Rob predominately models locomotives, both steam and diesel and rolling stock from the Blue and Gold era of the Victorian Railways (1937 to 1982). He has some NSWGR locomotives and rolling stock, but this is more in order to support our local cottage industries than any desire to model that outline. After a lengthy hiatus from modelling that began in the early 1980’s, he returned to actively modelling N scale again in 2010. Rob is a member of the Victorian N Scale Collective (VNSC) and is part of the subgroup of the VNSC that actively displays TTrak at Melbourne model train exhibitions.

Mark is a passionate Australian N scaler who is working on his first exhibition layout Culcairn. He also runs a facebook group dedicated to Australian N Scale. With his images and media background he is a keen promoter of the hobby for the diversity of skills required to create a great layout. Mark loves the modern day rolling stock and can’t wait to purchase loads of Auscision models in the future.
